Dr. Rob E. Frazier

In 2004, Dr. Frazier was appointed Director of Music Ministries at Myers Park Presbyterian Church and maintains an active role in the musical life of Charlotte. He regularly performs as organist with the Charlotte Symphony and has served as substitute accompanist for recent Opera Carolina productions. He serves on the boards of Charlotte Concerts and the Church Music Institute.  

Dr. Frazier maintains an active schedule as a concert organist with recent appearances on recital series at New York’s Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and at the Meyerson Center in Dallas. Myers Park Presbyterian’s multi-year partnership with The Great Church of Debrecen, Hungary has led to many collaborations, recitals, and radio broadcasts, including the world premiere of Dr. Frazier’s Prayer of Unity composed to celebrate the partnership between the two churches.  

A Tennessee native and alumnus of East Tennessee State University, Dr. Frazier received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance and literature from the Eastman School of Music. He holds two masters degrees from the Eastman School of Music and Indiana University (Bloomington) in conducting and organ performance, respectively. He is a member of the Chorister’s Guild, Presbyterian Association of Musicians, Chorus America, American Guild of Organists, American Choral Directors Association, Hymn Society, and American Guild of English Handbell Ringers.
